We spent a wonderful week at High Beach White in the low season at the end of October. The hotel is marketed as a luxurious and separate addition to the normal High Beach Resort.
The White Suite on the 1st floor of the building closest to the beach was extremely large and extremely well equipped. A bottle of water was brought every day and the minibar and Nespresso capsules were refilled. In the very large bathroom there was a bathtub with a massage function like a rain shower. There is also enough storage space, a safe and a large balcony. The only downside: in our opinion, the sea view category was more of a side sea view. You could see the sea between the restaurant and bar.
The beach and the clean sea are fantastic. A few minutes away there is a small island with a chapel to swim across. However, the masseurs who went from lounger to lounger were massively annoying. There were days when you were woken up or spoken to 15 times. Even if the beach is public, the hotel should come up with something. The masseurs are pain-free and speak to them again and again - day after day.
The enclosed area also includes a private pool where you can retreat to for peace and quiet and swim a few lengths. The suite also includes two loungers with a parasol on the beach. A perfect solution. This means you can get up and have breakfast in peace and don't have to worry about reserved seats.
Thanks to Ultra All-In, we were able to dine in the à la carte restaurant elia every evening with advance reservations. We did that because the food was significantly better than the unspectacular buffet in the main restaurant. Of course, the atmosphere here was perfect for a romantic tête-à-tête right on the beach. The multi-course menu portions are also very, perhaps too generous at lunchtime. We enjoyed a salad or Greek starters for lunch. After dinner, the sunset bar on the roof was a highlight in terms of friendliness and drinks and a place for a nice end.
We would also like to highlight the service positively. A certain level of seasonal fatigue was observed in isolated cases. Many forces have been deployed almost without interruption for months. Absolutely understandable. We were greeted with great friendliness at reception, bar and restaurant. A notoriously unfriendly exception is therefore irrelevant.
One final note. The hotel is adult-only. But this only refers to the small, separate High Beach White area. Of course, families and children can be found everywhere other than at the restaurant and on the beach, because the complex is ultimately small. It didn't bother us, but it doesn't really feel adult-only.
